Feral Cats

For the last year some feral cats have made their home in our compound.
Cats are territorial and mark their area with urine on cars much too the annoyance of residents.
A complaint was made and the cats were removed from our premises . A job well done by the management crew.

Why We Are Changing The Cleaners

On the First of March 2007 we are changing the cleaners.
The main reason is cost.
The present cleaners cost RM6,900.00 per month.
A quarter of the property owners are not paying on time.
This puts us in dire financial straits.
We have to save cost.
The new cleaners cost us RM6,600.00 per month.
The new cleaners is managed by people who were cleaning GCB Court Condominium when it was opened 21 years ago.
As such the managers of the new cleaners are familiar with our condominium.

The new cleaners also promises to
restore the beauty of the Lobby tiles
by scaping off the layer of wax from the
tiles and removing the dirt trapped
beneath the wax. A new layer of wax
will be applied and the tiles polished.

CHINESE NEW YEAR DECORATIONS VANDALISED

For the first time in our condominium history, festive decorations were

put up to usher in the Chinese New Year.
Sadly some of these were torn down by ******* person or persons unknown.

Putting up decorations to usher in the Year of the Golden Boar is like

casting pearls before swine.

FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM

The Fire Master Control Panel needs urgent replacements of parts to function properly.
It is not operational at this moment. This poses a fire risk to the whole condominium.

NON FUNCTIONING SPARE TRANSFORMER

The spare transformer was damaged several years ago.
The transformer is the heart of the condominium, and now we are dependent on
only one. Should this transformer fail , there will be total eletrical blackout to the
whole condominium. The will be no water supply as the water pumps will not work.
We have to urgently repair or replace the non-functioning spare transformer.

SECOND FIRE ON THE 21st FLOOR REFUSE ROOM , 05 FEBRUARY 2006.

Sunday 05 February 2006, 13:25 pm....
Mrs. Angeline Huang-Ong ( GCB Court Management Corporation's Honorary
Secretary ) gets off the lifts on the 21st floor . She notices thick smoke
coming from the Refuse Room next to lifts number 1 & 2. She immediately instructed her
maid to get a pail of water and succeeded in putting out the fire. If the fire had continued
for a while longer , the Refuse Room door would have been burned through and the fire
could have spread throughout the building.

On Monday 02 January 2006 ( a Public Holiday ) a similar fire occurred in the same
Refuse Room at about the same time ( between 13:00pm and 13:30pm). Are these
fires coincidental or acts of sabotage?

The Refuse Room on the 21st Floor . This is the 2nd time that a fire
broke out in this refuse room. The 1st fire occurred on 02 January 2006
( less than 5 weeks ago ). In both incidents prompt actions by the residents
prevented the fire from spreading. Are these fires caused by thoughtless,
careless and irrespondsible residents or by arsonists? A police report was made
on 05 February 2006 by the building management personnel. Posted by Picasa

Our brand new plastic garbage bin destroyed in the fire.
Note that the interior shows very little smoke damage, implying that the
fire started outside the bin. Posted by Picasa

Prompt action in putting out the fire prevented these inflammable materials from
burning through the refuse room door and spreading throughout our building. Posted by Picasa
